I think the expression you really want to use is "Je ne sais quoi" not "je ne sais pas"

Je ne sais pas = I don't know

Je ne sais quoi = "I don't know what"

Ranma would say "je ne sais pas" trying to sound sophisticated (and failing) but I don't see Nabiki making that sort of mistake.

Very good, this is very interesting and very orginal. Like the private detective idea, very nice touch to the story. Plus, got to love the sarcasm in Akane's voice. Very nice job, keep it up.
