Harmony Remarc 2007-08-02 . chapter 1Vividly descriptive. Heart-breaking plot. Beautiful connection between the beginning and the end. I think I shall sob in my dreams tonight because of Spot’s valiant death. “And fall you did.” I truly feel as though you ripped out my heart and stomped on it. At first I didn’t know who was narrating, or if it was male or female. And then it said “Manhattan boy”… and then Race. I honestly felt as though I was watching this live, not reading a computer screen. Fantastic. |
B 2007-07-29 . chapter 1 I'm reviewing this as the (not so) secret Santa reviewer, but I have already reviewed this...many years ago, lol. But at this point, all I can say is that while this is a good story, it also demonstrates the numerous ways you've improved like crazy in the last couple years. The ideas here are great and the relationship is great, but, um, the commas and apostrophes not so much. Um. Heh.
Anyway, I still really enjoy this. Spot's deathbed reformation is great. |
ktkakes 2007-07-16 . chapter 1Yeah . . . whoa is right . . . it was so sad that Spot died and those last two lines that Spot said to Race were so sweet!! Great job!

Lost Duck 2007-02-28 . chapter 1I hate your guts, and I meant that in the most loving way possible. |

 Kathryn Mason-Sykes 2003-01-14 . chapter 1eek
dat was deep
and really well written, not dat that surpises me or nothin. i really enjoyed it. besides the fact that spot dies and everything. but it's angst. i knew it would happen
anyway, really good. I'd love to see more stuff like this from you. i love the action and humor and drama, but youse is good with the angst too, falco.
keep it coming! |
Nevada 2003-01-13 . chapter 1 dude, all i can say is "wow" i now look at spot in a different way...wow |
 Queen Kez the Wicked 2003-01-13 . chapter 1What can I say that I haven't already? |
Raven's Wing 2003-01-13 . chapter 1Whoa... that was the best slash I have ever read. I don't read much... but this didn't seem slashy till the very last. Poor Race. . : * Cries * : . You killed Spot! How dare you? It is like a rule that Spot can never die in a fiction, he is too fine! ha, ha, no not quite. I like to play kick-the-Spot, it is too much fun. I really like how this fiction was all tied together, but what was with calling Jack, Jack Sullivan? I mean, I've never heard part of his alias and his birth name together like that.... . : * Shrugs * : . just something different I guess. I really liked how you went back to the part of the first sentance at the very end, it added a very angsty kind of memory like theme to the story. Very very good, well tied together, stayed with the theme. Huzzah! Take care ^_^ |
Morning Dew 2003-01-13 . chapter 1WoWzeRZ!!! This was REALLY GOOD, falco!!!!
w00t w00t! youse done it now, I'm so sad!!!
Awww, I like Spot's last two lines. That was
very heartfelt. : ( THis is going into my

studentnumber24601 2003-01-13 . chapter 1Absolutely beautiful... I love Spot/Race to begin with (it's the AlphaMale and Wisecracking Sidekick thing, I think...) but this is supremely well written. Your descriptions of Spot are, ehrm, spot-on; you nail his character exactly. Less of Race's personality showed up, but the first-person view was excellent. Yay for dark and angsty. :D |
Raeghann 2003-01-13 . chapter 1Wow, Spot the Apha Male does it again. (pictures Spot wearing a action hero costume with the words AM on the chest, collapses in giggles. AHEM) Sorry had to lighten the tense moment a little. Wonderful story! Wonderful dahling! |
 misprint 2003-01-12 . chapter 1whoa is right.
holy fuck, i'm all choked up over that. ARK! WHAT IS IT WITH YOU AND HAVING A CUTE AND ANGSTY RELATIONSHIP, THEN MURDERING SPOT?
this was incredibly good. seriously, i can't think of a critism right now. for ONE, it's race/spot which is always good. and for TWO, it's not just a romance, they have the whole war as well. and it was really realistic!
awesome. truly and completely awesome.
