Wow. This is such an amazing concept- and so well executed, too! It reminds me of one of my high school friends, a girl who studied the *real* Dark Ages. Iris' passion was pitch-perfect. All the original characters felt real, but not over done at all. I love them, and I love love love this fic. Just fantastic, absolutely fantastic!

I rarely review nowdays but your story has inspired me to do so. WELL DONE to an amazingly unique story (I haven't come across any similar ones). Well composed, and written so that...i cant describe it...
I felt as though it really was looking back at the history, yet I also had the knowledge of what happened 'then'. Thats not really a great description of how your story made me feel but its overall awesomeness was amazing.

I just finished your story in about 30 minutes! Very interesting twist on the Harry/Draco genre! I really enjoyed it and am checking out any other stories you have written.

Wow...I LOVED yor story!It is one of the best HPDM stories going! Some of the timelines seem a bit iffy (and its kinda dissapointing that, 800 years from now, homosexuality still isn't fully accepted), but overall, a fantastic effort.

I was wondering if i could please have permission to write either a third sequel, a prequel, or a companion piece (not sure yet). You will be fully credited for the original story, and will be able to read over it before I put it on the website. This is still all up in the air at the moment, so its just an idea.

I just feel the need to comment, I loved this story. As a historian myself I can so see myself being Iris, looking for the truth behind historical documents. Thanks for this story, it was short, but perfect really.

I love this fic. It was just so beautifully crafted. The characterisations were inspired. The subtlety was such that it made their relationship even more beautiful than the hundred chapter sickening romance of other authors.

Although I really, really, REALLY hate Royal. What the hell is up with him? He's so annoying, I just wanted to kill him. I thought that he was some crazy, duplicitous character who was going to kill Iris at first, which I guess would have been better, but no, he was just the random-love-that-the-heroine-meets-whilst-deeply-engrossed-in-her-quest -guy. Quite sickening.

However, I still absolutely adore this story, which says a lot seeing as how I hate Royal A LOT.

Excellent. The reader had the answer since we read the top of the page for the pairings but watching how Iris deducted who Harry's lover was all those centuries in the future - awesome.

Oh~ I am so late in knowing this story, and you really got me touch...

I love the sad love story between Draco and Harry, and esp. the way how this story is unveiled...the little unnoticed hints here, the latter linkages there, all are beautifully bridged! For the final chapter, the way that Draco's painting act, it is just like...icing on the cake, making everything beautiful, delicate and heart wrenching...

I know you are not writing any fan fic at this very moment, but if ever, you decide to start again...can I put my hope in this one. I would like to read...even with fights, with difficulty, with arguments, that the love between them can finally be known, be accepted and be remembered...that..if ever...if ever a portrait of Harry is discovered, that he can send to stay with Draco...even...a rare photo of Harry with Draco's portrait would be very okay...

This fic is a must keep. This is really something different. Although I said that to another story I REALLY mean this is different. Very well done.

It is an interesting approach the way you make Iris research the letters.
I love history and research and I could really relate to Iris, all the while of course knowing I was reading a fanfic I just loved how you combined this original story and people with harry and draco. And it was a really touching story!
