Oh, that was absolutely lovely! I would love to be inside Gimli's head and know his reasoning. Gimli sitting down calm and smiling in satisfaction. Made my day!

I'm with PuterPatty on this - I never read L\G slash (I don't read ANY slash!) but you write it so well that I read yours happily.
