Though this was shorter than I wanted it to be, I loved it. Seeingt he way that Soujiro finally understood and embraced Kenshin's ideals warmed my wee little heart. Your characterization of Soujiro was dead on. It made sense considering all that we know about him.

due to the age of the fic, I will not bore you with the grammar/structural errors. You most likely have outgrown them, or found a good beta.

I really liked that last paragraph, btw. It's quite poetic, and works well for Soujirou. I like ^_^

I forgot about this fic for a while, I'm ashamed to admit, I rediscovered it yesterday to find you'd added several more chapter, yayness :) This continues to be an interesting plot and I'm eager for Soujirou the Tenken to pull out the can of whoopa$$ on these guys ;) You still have a small problem with scattered typos, but that just takes some extra proofreading. Keep it up!

Oh poor Soujirou.but at least he's *thinking* now. Nice little chapter, more, must read more! ^_^ I wonder though.I think he would think of Kenshin as "Himura" and not by his given name (after all, Soujirou, like Kenshin, is hopelessly polite). He only called him "Himura-san" in the series and manga, and somehow I don't think that would have changed, but that's just my feeling. You do it however you like ^_^

Well progress is progress, Soujirou made a friend, yay! ^_^ Hehe I liked the little Shishiou line...yeah, why would he care since he wore bandages as an outfit? But then there is no understanding demented people. Doing pretty good with grammar, it was mostly spelling this time. It's "scars" not "scares". Poor little Youji...I'll never understand why people abuse children. Evil aunt, I hope something nasty happened to her. Anyways, please continue soon!

I really like this story... well-written. =) There's not enough to make a judgement, but just enough to leave me intrigued... i do hope you update soon, i love Soujirou stories, and i feel like this one can really lead up to something! Keep it up~

Nice idea for a companion. I hope that it doesn't turn out that he will face his tormentors or something but if it is written well, I'll accept it because some of the writers don't write well and they put it in. You're getting a head start against them with your syle of writing. Hope to hear more from you soon.
