Interesting chapter.

Ah I like this story! It's very intersting and unique! Lol, the bits about Brid made me LoL very much! All the characters did! Rewriting history is fine, because Maewen threw it in a loop, but history won't change dramatically. It doesn't really matter as long as the story flows. Nice chapter.

Aha! Very nice story! Like the setting, character voices, & backdrop of this fic! Amazing idea! Not many stories have many of the Dalemark Quartet characters, espcially from The Cart and the Cwidder.

But I would like to request you to italicize the thoughts, because I'm just one for style and it would make the thoughts stand out more(especially for people who tend to read through too quickly like me). And if you don't mind, seperate the author's notes wiht a line or something since it would stand out more. Also Kialin's name has an A at the end to form: Kialan. Your version is cool but in the book it's Kialan. Surprised I know it when I haven't even finished the Crown of Dalemark. (Not stopping me from reading this!) But I am another huge fan of the Dalemark Quartet!

Lastly, please, please, please don't get rid of Biffa, don't bump her off! She's great! Since Maewen went back some of the history will change anyways, so why not change who Mitt marries? How about Biffa ends up with Ynen(a pairing that is possible even though I never read up about Ynen). I'm not sure how much younger than Hildy, Ynen is but he can't be younger than Moril. Hildy married Moril, Biffa could marry Ynen. Ynen could also be Hildy's younger twin. I hope it's not too late, this fic isn't complete. But I request/beg not to kill Biffa & have her end up with Ynen instead.

I would, but its just so sad...I really want to cry but I cant.More people should know bout the quartet and write stories...Its just SO sad. And noone sent in reviews in any of them for months , leave years! oh someone hear my cries and update one!! please now...I AM desperate.I would write one but i am horrible. I know its hard to wright a story , but i also learnt that no matter how bad you feel the story is, someone is bound to like it.No matter what.My wish is that someone with a story as good as you will update...and i have read so many...(all) but all of them end at like...the first part. It's totally AMAZING! I've really only read Harry Potter fanfics before this, and i decided to look for some of Diana Wynne Jone's work. I really didn't expect to find anything because none of my friends, or people i know know who she is, and i figured she wouldn't be on i was scrolling down through the list of books, and i was like "wouldn't it be amazing if The Dalemark Quartet was on here..." needless to say, i practically screamed when i saw it on the list, violently clicked on my mouse, and found the nearest link to a fanfic-just so happened to be yours... I'm really excited, because ever since i read it(The Crown of Dalemark), i wanted DWJ to explain what happened in the end-you're doing a great job,... keep up the awesome work! Thank you for your time spend on this fanfic-again, it's totally amazing!!

Forgot to add a comment about the previous chapter: All the “Mitt miss- I mean, we all missed ..." and the "Mi- we were all..." were hilarious. Your subtle MittMaewen hints are great. Oh, and I like how Moril presented Maewen in order to surprise Mitt. Absolutely amusing. XD

Back to this chapter: Short? Who says it's short? It satisfied ME. You've fleshed out their relationship a bit more - nicely done. ^_^ I don't think anyone would mind if you messed around with Dalemark's history; DWJ's stories are so vague, I think she MEANT for them to be screwed with (blasphemous, though, that comment sounded. ^^;).

my god, your story rox!! i was so depressed when i finished the series but you made it better! Yay! im so happy. lol. he he. your style of writing its great btw, it gets the story across and brings it to life but isn't confusing to follow or anything! i hope you keep writing cos it would be sad for mitt and the others' stories to just end. great job!

I love the Dalemark Quartet (and all Diana Wynne Jones' other books!) and I think an alternate ending is great! Going back was a great idea but I can see some complications. Youll have to change the whole of their history to incorporate Maewen into the past...but who cares! This is a great scenario and I cant wait to read more!

-sigh- I just finished the Dalemark quartet and cried buckets at the end so I went in search of a fanfic that would help me feel better about it all. Yours so far is perfect. The style is good, very like the original and I do like the premise. I hope you update quickly!
