Chaotic 8/25/11 . chapter 25So, so relieved when I saw it had been posted twice, and is the complete version here. This is without doubt the best fic I have read in a very, very long time. Well plotted, well characterised, and you're the first person in this fandom I have encountered who can write a sex scene without resorting to a single fanfic cliche. (There seems to be a masterlist of euphemistic anatomical descriptors someone has issued.) No overshare, but not embarrassedly self-conscious either. Really top-notch. |
GuisanteAzul 8/25/10 . chapter 25 I know it's been years since you wrote this, but I completely loved and enjoyed it. The relationship between Leia and Han was beautifully complicated - I cringed as they had their fights and was ridiculously happy when they made up at the end. Thank you! |
Atlasina7 2/20/10 . chapter 25I loved this story-I'm a Luke fan-and was so happy to see a good story with the three main characters interacting and all three acting like human adults. It's hard to find the well-written stories, so I'm happy I ran across this one. |
MaggieSolo 11/2/09 . chapter 25Fabulous story! Great characterization and plot. Loved it, from beginning to end! |
The-Solo-Smirk 7/21/09 . chapter 25Oh, a SW fanfic for adults! I cant believe that they exist... Reading this story was really entertaining...I read it almost in one sweep...with multiple cups of coffee, of course. Congrats on having the guts to shake Leia, and especially Han, a bit! Could very well happen that they give up on the relationship because they cant seem to make it work. Fav sentences: "We always end up on the nearest horizontal surface..." and "It sure as hell isn't mine!" LOL! Angst is always fine with me! I also admired your perception when having Han say: "I don't even have the right to be mad at you anymore because you lost the child!" Very good characterization! Your Luke storyline is very original and I like the fact that it is a storyline of its own...meaning that Luke isn't just there to include him somehow... The scene when Han punches him in the face? You certainly know how to entertain your readers... 3 |
Reagan 3/11/09 . chapter 25oh my freaking gosh. That was so amazing. I love your portrayal of Han and Leia. Luke's not too bad either. This is just...wow I really have no words. This was fantastic and I thank you for sharing your story with the rest of us. I can't wait to go read the rest. And although it's been years since you wrote this it doesn't diminish what a gripping story you penned. Han and Leia were so real, utterly messed up. I have wondered about two disparate people and all the issues that crop up because of backgrounds and beliefs. Problems like this one are not unrealistic. It was a beautiful love story and the background (or at least to me background) was steeped in jedi lore, making for quality all around. Truly a fabulous job and I'm glad I ran across this on another author's favorites. It was worth the hours read. |
Blue darkness 1/18/09 . chapter 7No! Leia lost the baby! WA! This is so sad. I feel like dying right about now. You're such an excellent writer. For the longest time in the earlier chapters I couldn't figure out why you put the old Imp. base there. But it seems like all along you knew what you were doing and in the end there was a real reason. Having all those reasons Leia couldn't tell the truth was genius. Well, I'm going on to the next chapter. |
Annerb 9/28/07 . chapter 25I've spent the last few days enjoying your wonderful tale. Such a great depth of detail that makes all the places and people come alive. It's been such a treat to read. Thank you! |
HoldoutTrout 4/25/06 . chapter 25Very nice. I am most impressed by your amazingly complete knowledge of the universe...and I spent way too much time the last few days obsessing over this story. |
jedi71 10/24/03 . chapter 17WOW! I'm only at chapter 13, but I must say this is one of the best stories I've read set during the return of the jedi time period. The characters are "real" you know, "human". 7one |
Jedi-2B 10/2/03 . chapter 25 Just want to say how much I enjoyed this story. The plot was well developed, and the characterizations were good. I was sorry to see it end, and hope to see more stories from you in the future. |
hewgleymom 10/2/03 . chapter 25 Ivy L, This story was excellent. I can't believe how much detail you put into it . I hope you have another story up your sleeve and ready to start in the very near future. You are an incredible writer and I look forward to more stories of Luke and the gang from you. HUGS and May the force be with you. Hewgleymom aka elizabeth |

LadyZ 10/2/03 . chapter 25 :-( Oh, it's over :-( It's an awesome story! I really liked the idea that they found a pic about the darksider-Anakin... very original, I think! Usually, in fanfics they find a wedding-holo then they begin to cry that "oh, they look soo happy..." stuff. Leia was so strong, so determined in the last chapters- I liked it! |
Pitdroid 9/30/03 . chapter 25 Abruptly, Han paused and lowered his voice. "Promise you’ll check on her." "Absolutely." Despite the fact that there was plenty of room for her on the Mon Remonda, he was leaving the Millenium Falcon with her. Leia propped herself up on one elbow and fixed him with her most solemn expression. "Now tell me again, how often does she need to be watered and fed?" Great dialogue! So very typical of the wonderfully complicated and fun relationship Han and Leia share. I am very sad to see this story end, because it is one of the best fanfic stories I have ever read. Fabulous job of fitting this story into the EU timeline. Love the fact that the story will fit in with the Dark Empire comic series. Those were a good read. Thank you, Ivy L, for sharing your superb writing with us. It is truly a pleasure to read stories as good as this one. And, they don't get much better than this! |
