Oh man! This story was just so adorable. I love it. It's cute and quirky. Nice to read after such a stressful time driving a very hot car with a cranky mother in the passenger seat with an eye infection.

you know what's scarrier? I knew every freaking drink you wrote. Baristaing can be fun except for the idiots that say, "that red hot cinnamon latte, is that hot?" or the ever popular, "that mocha freeze, is that cold?" Or when they treat you like you're their servant just because you happen to be behind the counter. -_- I love my job but I hate the people, I know EXACTLY what Kira (and you) went through.

You certainly have a talent for characterization.

I've read all the barista stories and they're great. The character is soo believable. I've even started including her when I think of stories (weird huh?)It's like shes been there all along we just never saw her before. Can't wait till you post more.

You know, everytime I read these (often), I crack up, and feel sad, and feel worried, and basically go through the spectrum. You're awesome at invoking certain emotions in your audience with your writing, and precious few authors can achieve that.
I can't wait until Seasons 2 and 3 come out (big fan of season 3... what can I say? I'm a Danny-whumper) and am completely confident you'll do them justice.
As for Kira, I like very few original characters, even when done through first-person point of view, but I really do like Kira. She's an awesome character.
