i had always wondered what happend to maglor, i like this story alot. i like the plot alot too, very well description of maglor, i had a perfect image of him in my head while reading it. i loved the story

This story reminds me of TreeHugger's The Singer's Gift, as both have that beautiful heartstring that echoes through out the tale and the way it deals with those who have been left here for a long long time, left to wander for all eternity.

Love the jesting at Legolas too, beautiful characterisation of Gimli who is just wonderful in his friendly gruffness.

o, that was a neat little story. Well written. I think you got Gimli down pat, and I liked Maglor. I haven't gotten far in the Silmarilian yet, maybe I'll understand the name when I'm done with it.

I always felt a touch sorry for Maglor. It's odd to think that yes, he must have been hanging around through that whole bit of time. Good story.

Absolutely fabulous. Incredibly well-written. I loved it. And I guessed who the mysterious stranger was. Couldn't quite remember his name but I knew it was the son of Feanor who'd thrown the Silmaril into the sea. Nice to see a portrayal of Gimli that doesn't have him as a bumbling fool providing comic relief.

Oh my god. OH, my god. That was just incredible. I...I really don't know what to say. You captured everything there, the sorrow, the loss, the bittersweet,...dear lord. You're totally incredible, and I commend you on an elegand and heart-wrenching story.

Beautiful story. Everything was just perfect. :) It was so well written, I could cry. And, to tell you the truth, that was a very original idea. I'd always wondered what happened to Maglor. Now that you've written this, it seems very possible that this could have happened, and I feel fully grateful for it. I simply love this story to pieces, so I suppose I should say 'great job' before I ramble on any longer! So... Great job!

Great. Great story. I have read lots of "many years gone by some random nloke meets with Maglor" fic.s that i'm about ready to throw myself in Mt. Doom, but I really liked this one. And the protrayal of Gimli was quite well done. Lots of people can't seem to grasp his character. You did. Go you!
