Thanks a lot! It's was nice to see the POV of the "other side", just so you can see just *what* they were thinking of. I hope that SG-1 and Sentinel & Guide can get past this "unfortunate incident". Looking forward to more!

This is the beginning of a cool crossover. I can't wait to read the rest. In fact, I'm staying up past my bedtime to do it. I'm sure my students won't mind if I'm tired and grumpy tomorrow. :]

Mmm... crossover. I really really like that you have Daniel saying he doesn't know every language, because linguists don't have to be, and often aren't, polyglots, nor do they necessarily speak the languages they study, though it helps. Thanks for putting that in. (Why, yes, I /am/ a linguistics major. :) Slight language nitpick: Quechua isn't an Aymaran language. Often, Quechua and Aymara are both grouped into Quechumaran, though this is controversial, because no one's sure if the two are genetically related, or if they just borrowed things back and forth. They're both Andean languages for sure. Anyway, good story.

I am not familiar with the Star Gate, but I still liked this story. What does NID stand for?
