Your Celebrian's nice. And Elrond, trying not to weep before his lady, was a great touch. I could really associate with Celebrian's bit about how it is a child's duty to visit her parents. (Very Asian.) And, of course, Elladan (and Elrohir and Arwen to a lesser extent) were cute little Elflings.

Nice little pair of vignettes - captures the joy and sorrow of the family in a succinct way. I like your choice to use Elladan as a sort of viewing glass. It creates an intimacy that an anonymous third person's view would not.
