This is definitely a heart stopper for me. As myself, I will be joining the Marines very soon. I like how you did it in first person and the realistic view of "die trying," than just dying by itself. It reminds me of a young recruit who has gotten himself caught and accepted it, but of course not without a fight. Thank you for writing this piece.

Ouch, somebody needs...well, whatever artificial or natural substance that might make one happy. Damn, your stuff is depressing, but that is not to say it limits the overall coolness level on what I've read so far(Artificial, and this one). I plan on reading more, since you seem to write about all of my favorite non-anime fandoms, such as FF and Mechwarrior. Actually, I've never read any fics in the categories that you write for, and I'm much impressed. And I still disagree that your mind is made of viral RNA.
