alix33 9/8/09 . chapter 19"Who're you gonna call?" Toby asked. Donna resisted the urge to say 'Ghostbusters'. "Ghostbusters," muttered Josh. CJ clipped him round the head. "This office is too small to contain that level of stupidity." "I'm thinking there's a pun about 'density' to be had in there somewhere," Sam observed. CJ turned to glare at him, hand still raised. "You want some of this, Spanky?" "This conversation has taken a very disturbing turn," Toby muttered into the palm he was resting on." - I know these are serious issues, but this interaction between the senior staff was funny. "Distract the lions with some fresh meat?" CJ nodded. "For a while, anyway. But it won't be long before they're baying for blood again." "I don't think lions bay," Josh put in dryly. CJ glared at him. "Since when were you appointed nature boy?" "Since when did lions bay?" he retorted." - As was that between CJ and Josh. |
alix33 9/8/09 . chapter 5"And Ambassador Williamson had a well-documented habit of ducking it at every opportunity," Tom added. The president grumbled something under his breath that sounded suspiciously like "I should be so lucky." - LOL at president Bartlet's aside, even though I am very worried about Ambassador Williamson. |
BlackRaven 3/13/03 . chapter 20Wow Wow and Wow again! I've read all 6 parts of further to fly in one night! I just couldn't put it down! Way to go! Cant wait for part 7 - please write it soon! |
BenRG 2/17/03 . chapter 20Hmm. Reminded me of the end of Season 2, with all these impertinent and irrelevant questions. Well, the press will chew this over and, having demonised John Bartlet and questioned the President's fitness for office (again. :-( ), they'll find something else to waste trees on. However, I want to tell you something. I am enjoying this in the way that I enjoy the TV series. I think that you have caught the spirit of 'The West Wing' and I will keep reading for as long as you keep writing. BenRG's Overall Rating: 8/10 |
horse-girl 2/17/03 . chapter 20 That was really good and I can't wait for 'And the Tide Rushes In'. Can you give Sam a bigger role though? Anyways, loved it! horse-girl |
MAHC 2/16/03 . chapter 20 Wonderful! You have such great dialogue and your characterizations, especially of Jed and Abbey, are right on target. I'll eagerly await the continuation of this super series. |
Rose 2/13/03 . chapter 19 I know it's been said a thousand times, but: I LOVE THIS SERIES! There. Got that out of my system. |
BenRG 2/13/03 . chapter 19I'm sure that the President needed to hear a little good news. As for the (late) Ambassador to Cambodia... Well, it all goes to prove that stupidity can be a fatal disease. Nominate him for a Darwin Award (c) and let it go. ;-) I'm looking forward to this press conference. Something tells me that we are going to see CJ at her best. BenRG's Rating: 7/10 |
BenRG 2/12/03 . chapter 18Well, that was an interesting little story wasn't it? It seems that Toby has this vision of Bartlet as this superman, completely overwhelming any negative human weakness. Unfortunately, no one is /really/ like that. It is pretty obvious that Zoey has told her mother what /it/ is, and I think there might be a party on the way. It might even be the beginning of a cure for the President. BenRG's Rating: 8/10 |
horse-girl 2/11/03 . chapter 17 Excellent. So, everything's coming out now? That should be interesting. Anyways, loved it, can't wait to see more. horse-girl |
BenRG 2/10/03 . chapter 16And now it all hits the fan. It is odd how everyone wants to protect the President, isn't it? I think it is the measure of the man that he inspires such loyalty. BenRG's Rating: 7/10 |
BenRG 2/9/03 . chapter 15It is hard to imagine, isn\'t it? But there you are. I think that the next few weeks are going to be painful and difficult. I also don\'t think that this story will /ever/ go away. BenRG\'s Rating: 7/10 |
SecondSilk 2/8/03 . chapter 14Yay! |
BenRG 2/8/03 . chapter 14You know, maybe another grandchild could be a godsend. Not only would Jed have something to focus his mind on, but it would also distract the press... Not that he would want it to work that way. Seriously, though, I bet that Jed spends a lot of time trying to be a better man than his father. BenRG's Rating: 8/10 |
BenRG 2/8/03 . chapter 13:-) Some vintage Leo Jed there. Thanks for the effort. Josh really is an emotional screw-up though, isn't he? BenRG's Rating: 7/10 |
