LifeIsRandom09 2008-03-07 . chapter 5I still find it the fact that 75% of the bloodshed (and various other not-so-nice things) in the First Age is somehow related to the Silmarils hard to wrap my head around. Oh yes, and how can we forget the oaths of his sons as he died. Thanks for that Feanor.
Okay, I suppose I should actually review your story now.
Well written! I'm glad to see someone had the guts to take on this particular story thread (Galadriel is a rather difficult character to write for). I also like the fact that you used as much canon material as possible. (congratulations on getting the geography and timeline correct for the most difficult book ever!) Cannot wait for the update!

WishmasterSeer 2006-07-01 . chapter 5i know that you haven't updated in about - two years! but i really do hope that you would. not to sound rude or anything but there are people who are desperatly waiting for you to update. so i hope that i don't sound rude or anything, but we haven't heard anything of this story for 2 years and yeh. |
Gryphaena 2005-12-20 . chapter 5 Hmm, if I remember what I read in The Unfinished Tales correctly, she leaves Alqualonde with Celeborn. I hope you can update again! |
Silver 2004-12-27 . chapter 5 Oh, wow...This has to be the best Galadriel and Celeborn romance I have come across! It's perfect! Well, minus the fact that you haven't updated in quite some time, but I understand writer's block. Usually these types of stories take place in Doriath, you know, Galadriel is cast into exile with some of her kin, arrives in Doriath and is greeted by Celeborn and King Elu Thingol. It is very refreshing to find another take on my favorite romance!
But of course the real angst is yet to come! We all know what happens in the not so far future, and boy do I want to see what happens then! Ai! Just think of all of the possibilities! Artanis really needs to realize her feelings for Celeborn, although I think your Artanis is very well in character. She wouldnt just rush into the arms of some suitor, even if she was fond of him!
Well, I am babbling now-but I cant seem to help myself! I very much love this story and wait on the edge of my seat for the next very well written chapter! Bravo! Well Done! |
Me, who else? 2004-08-26 . chapter 5 All I can say is wow! Wow, wow, wow. This is one of the best stories I have ever read, and I mean it. Very weel written , interesting, exciting, and original. I love how you portray both Celeborn and Galadriel, and I agree with you about Celeborn's Quenya name. It just ain't pretty. Haha, keep up the great work, and you better update this soon! Or else I'll send my llama after you! *Cackles*
-Me
(Not that I have a llama, but hey, I couldn't think of anything better.) :D |
IloveYourStory 2004-08-19 . chapter 5 Dude, you better not abandon this fic!! I am in love with it. Well, not really, but you get the point. But I do love it!! I've been wating for a while for you to update it, and now I'm starting to sweat, thinking that maybe you might not finish it. And I think "No..." The "O's" could go on for much longer but I've decided to not take up to much space. But please keep writing! I beg you! Great, wonderful, job. |
Feanin 2004-08-07 . chapter 1I can't wait to find out what both Celeborn and Artanis are going to do during the Kin-slaying. I love your piece. I myself prefer to think of Celeborn as a Telerin elf. IT seems to add more depth to him. |
lizdarcy2 2004-06-20 . chapter 5Hey! I've just read all of your story so far, and I love it! I have always wondered what could have happened if Tolkien had written Celeborn as a Teleri. I hope you update soon! |
CeilingFan 2004-06-18 . chapter 5 What a wonderful story! I confess I had not thought of Celeborn in Valinor, but it does seem right that he would give as much love to the sea as he does to the trees in Lothlorien. I especially like your characterization of Galadriel... |
Vicki Turner 2004-05-10 . chapter 5Amazing, truely amazing. I love this story and it's is one of the best stories EVER! I can't wait until the next chappie...

Laureline 2004-05-09 . chapter 5This is a great story, I really like it!.
.
You made one mistake, and I think you should change it: you make Aredhel call Melkor "Morgoth" towards the end of the chapter, but Melkor wasn't yet known by that name. Remember, he was called Morgoth, "the Dark Enemy of the World", by Feanor, when he discovered Finwe had been slain and the Silmarils stolen. |
Melkor 2004-05-07 . chapter 5 That's a really amazing job you are doing with this story. I'm addict to it! I want more of your wonderful story. You have so much talent!. Keep the good work. Salut! |
Bejai 2004-04-19 . chapter 5I love this story! And I don't think that I've ever read one that so well explores the politics and undercurrents of this era of elven history. Good luck with finals and the like, and get us an update when you can. I look forward to it! |
daw the minstrel 2004-04-18 . chapter 5I enjoyed every bit of this detailed, convincing chapter. You sure have the touch for imagining these people as real, Jocelyn. I have to admit that the line that really struck me was Fingon's: "Is that supposed to be comforting?" My word, no it's certainly not. |
HalandLeg4ever 2004-04-18 . chapter 5A great chapter, lol I'm glad Artanis landed a hit, even if she didn't mean to really harm him... And it seems the children are the ones counseling the parents... makes sense to me. I can't wait to read more! Keep up the good work. |
