| abbylee 2003-01-29 ch 1, | abuseIt's nice to have a touch of Will-centric fic in a Syd/Vaughn world, as much as I do love reading about them too. I got completely caught up in Will's emotions when his cell phone started vibrating. It's the kind of scene that might look funny when played out on the screen, but feels so real when you're reading the emotions. Will's realization that he's not emotionally ready to actually handle being a CIA agent was dead on. In Phase One, we saw how Jack handled knowing his death was eminent, and that his daughter was being threatened as well. He appeared calm and collected, and Sydney sounded the same (even with the tears in her eyes). They've had years of training, and have slowly built up to this, it would be impossible for a regular person to handle the situation that Will has found himself in, and it's nice to see it recognized. I can't wait until you're inspired again. Thanks for the story :D |
