That was quite possibly the sweetest Dragon Ball Z fanfic I have ever read. It was absolutely amazing :D

It reduced me to tears though about half way through though because it was so adorable and sweet... Great job ;D

Oh, my gosh, this was so absolutely, completely and utterly perfect. So emotive. Gah. There were tears in my eyes as I read this, I admit. Only one or two, and they stayed in my eyes and on my eyelashes, but they still existed.

At first I almost skipped past this fic when I saw it in the archives (I confess to really only paying mind to stories somehow involving romance) but after a moment I recognized your penname from /Cupcakes/ and decided to give this a go - and am I ever happy that I did!

My favourite character always has been, and will probably always be, Gohan, and seeing a fic like this that is actually recognizing all that he would have done for Goten in Goku's absence just warms me in the deepest places of my heart. I always thought that there would be something special between these two, even after Goku's return. While Goten clearly loves his father (how could he /not/?), and while Goku clearly loves his son (of course), the fact of the matter is that because of unfortunate circumstances, Gohan is the one who initially raised him alongside Chi Chi and I just always imagined that there would be some sort of brotherly bond between them, perhaps a bit stronger than the next, you know? And so this is just, gosh, wonderful; the fact that their relationship was recognized (and in such a heartwarming way, no less!) is spectacular! Also, I really loved how Bulma was the one to help Goten - that was just too cute! Oh! And GOTEN! HE WAS /SO/ ADORABLE! Alongside the scene in the assembly, when I think of this fic I imagine when he is in class contemplating reading a story for Gohan for the first time instead of the other way around and I just - ahhh! You know that feeling you get inside of your chest after you see something so cute/moving/etc. where it feels as if your heart might explode with the overwhelmingly sweet emotion? Yeah, that's what I had just about all the way through. ;)

Anyway, I realize that I'm rambling (and probably not making a whole lot of sense at that, aha) so I'll just cut this short: Simply put, I both love and adore this little fic, so much, and I love the fuzzy feeling I get inside of me every time I read it. :) The Assignment is positively brilliant - one of my absolute favourite DBZ fics and one of my favourite fanfics in general - and you are even more so for writing this piece!

Absolutely adorable! Gohan is my all time favourite, and I love stories like this one, where they focus on how Goten grew up with him. But... This one I think has to be my favourite one! Great job!

I loved this! It was so touching, and it made me tear up.

I like how Goten was shown in this, and the essay was great! It really sounded like something a kid would write. I laughed at the line about the monsters in the toilet!

It was really sweet though. Bulma was great in it, and I love how Gohan was talked about. Goten sure is lucky to have him.
