Since you are the only one not happy and participating in the party, but instead just on your computer, I'd say that you're either feeling left out or your sick of crowds. The strange man that seems at first like he wanted a girlfriend then ended up trying to kill you means that you are afraid of relationships, or have recently been turned down by a guy you thought was interested.
