I was a bit shocked to see a little part with shounen-ai near the end because I'd never expected that before. Not that I have a problem with yaoi or shounen-ai, but it's good to know beforehand if these things are coming up in the story. ^_^
Anyway, I like the whole story: warm atmosphere, well-described scenes, dialogues, and the characters' details and personalities. I especially like the part about Teo and Sonya's little romance, Gremio's taking care of Tir, and when Tir spoke about his wish and described his favourite moment when everyone gathered at the fireplace; It gives a warm feeling, yet a bit sad if you think of what's going to happen in the game.
The best thing in this story for me is that Tir expresses his feelings every well, and he's also adorably cute. ^^

Oh, so sweet! McDohl's innocence is just precious, and I love how you wrote Ted.

Some of the dialogue seems a little awkward. The beginning section is where this was most noticeable... The McDohl household does speak formally, but it seemed a little too much sometimes--mostly with Ted, I guess. Well, it could go either way...

(Also, I love you for writing Ted fanfic. ^^)
