you're right. this is a needed story. i'm a latecomer to charmed, getting sucked in by the reruns on tnt, and... i haven't gotten to where cole goes avatar and all that crap, though i've read about it on the web, but i already know i hate what they did to him. drawing what i see as the inevitable comparison (and because i'm a hopeless angel/buffy shipper - mainly since i missed most of the buffy/spike bit thanks to a sudden uproar in my life), angel and buffy never got their happy ending, neither did romeo and juliet. i just wanted to see one pair of star-crossed lovers get that happy ending. phoebe and cole should have gotten it, and i'm glad they did in your universe, even if they didn't in reality.

I somehow managed to miss this beautiful story. What a heart warming piece to find in the middle of the Charmed downfall. Your family settings are always perfect, everyone close and happy. I wanted to be in that living room sitting around the tree too, and when Cole held the proof of his family's happiness it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for taking me to that magical place and renewing my faith that we can over rule what the writers have done for as long as we see fit. I can't wait for more.

what a sweet story...i loved how you started by turning "reality" into a nightmare...wonderful moments with ben pulling off his dreaded socks and unknowingly tearing open piper's present...speaking of presents, what a loving present for cole to receive...i love this world you've created...now that ben's entering his terrible twos (shouldn't he bit a bit more vocal than simple single words?), it'll be really interesting to see how they all manage with him in such a small house with a new baby on the way, especially if little ben's gonna be developing some powers of his own...sigh, based on the title, it looks like we're back for more angst for the next tale...i can't wait!

Rose, I'm crying so hard!!! I just found out they really killed Cole...it's over and done with. I am now downloading the ep off the net because NZ pulled season 4 before it even ended last year and I don't blame them. OMG I knew it was coming just didn't realise how soon and final it all is!!!! Thanks for instilling a bit of hope sweetie bwaaaaaaaah.
