The only thing I found difficult to believe was Christine being okay with Erik saying he would kill the child if it looked like him. I honestly think she would protest, but that doesn't really fit into your storyline, as the whole mask issue kind of fades in the last couple of chappies;)

I also loved the imagery of the thin, fluffy-headed Rose and the tousle fluffy-headed Christine...So cute!

Overall, I luvved it!

I read the entire of this fic last night, but decided not to review then as it was five to one and it would've been incoherent...

I seem to remember reading the beginning of this the first time around and loving it then, but read through the last 11 or so chapters last night... so there's too much I can comment on, really. One thing that immediately springs to mind is that bit towards the end with the comment about Christine's hair getting in the way at night, which was such a direct contrast to the similar comment at the beginning with Raoul, but such a different reaction... I loved that.

I also love that it's CHRISTINE who loses faith in Erik, not the other way around. I wonder if he really WOULD have killed the child if it had his face? But I'm glad you didn't choose to take that path, either way. As much as I am, as ever, the Angst Queen, I DO like a happy ending. :)

As always, a wonderful fic. Beautiful characterisation and excellent writing, of course. I'll get right on to reading the next one. :)

I just finished reading this story you wrote. I truely loved it. Very well written, wonderful plot. The only fault I could find with the story was... there was little if any seduction, or steamy scenes between Erik and Christine. Very little passion, unlike the 2004 movie. I don't mean the story should have been (R)Rated. Put lets admit it. The love, seduction, passion,lust and betrayel is what made the movie/story so unforgetable. Well the betrayel they could of left. I hated that she chose Raoul. But you get my meaning. But this is all just my opinion. If you decided to write another E/C story I would defintely read it. *hint hint* Because like I said," You are a wonderful writer."

If and when I have children, in about 10 years or so...and I have a daughter I am going to name her Marguerite, Margot for short, simply because of the Scarlet Pimpernel. In fact, I think I'm going to go to my campus library tomorrow and borrow it. :)

I cannot express how much this wonderful story has thrilled me. I have just read the entire story in a days time because I simply couldn't get myself away from the computer screen! This story had it all. I laughed, cried, grieved and screamed in frustration several times. The hbours spent diterioration my eyes has been well worth it. Thank you for this glorious fanfiction!

Oh, how could I ever have missed such a delightful gem of a story? I've spent hours in front of my computer screen, enraptured, and cannot fathom a more worthy way to spend my timet! You have captured Erik's character- a most brilliant combination of Kay and ALW, I might add- to the letter: one of the best portrayals I have seen in my phanphic-reading career. I will be the first to admit to finding Christine's character a bit repugnant, which speaks multitudes of your ability to connect your readers with the inarguably human characteristics, motives, flaws, and attributes of the characters. Making me sympathize with and (God forbid!) adore Christine is no small feat- congratulations are in order for you as an author! Extra credit points for nailing Nadir and Mme. Giry as well; they are my all-time favourites!

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece with us! I am a firm believer in happy endings, and was utterly delighted with this one. Shall we call up Mr. Webber, then, and propose this story as a sequel? It is certainly most deserving!
