You know, I'm watching CATS right now (naming of the Cats) and I think the queen could be Demeter. She seems the only one that's not affected by Tugger's beauty. According to his character, that would be the one he would want. Or it could be someone else. Just a guess.

Did you have someone specific in mind or did you leave it to the reader? If it was up to me I'd guess it's Cassandra (he does hold hands with her when they go down to Grizabella and while she always dances close to him she never fawns on him like the kittens)...but that's me. Actually I like how you didn't say who because it added to the complexity of the poem.

this is a good poem. now im curious, though, did you have a specific queen in mind that Tugger is talking about or did you just leave it to generalization of the reader?

Heh heh heh... *looks evil* Several people have now asked me, occasionally in rather desperate terms, WHO the bloody cat IS that the Rum Tum Tugger's in love with. Let me give you a couple clues. One: Obviously, it's a queen. No slash here, he actually says 'her'. Two: It's obviously not Bombalurina. That was too, well, obvious.

Sooo... hey, try to figure it out yourselves and tell me what you think, it'd be interesting to know...
