I agree with magnolia that Waya isn't that impulsive. (Look at his relationship with Hikaru and other people, like when he admits that HIkaru really is stronger than him, and when he loses to Ochi.) Tho I can see Waya thinking of himself as hot-headed, so I guess that works out.. ^-^

A very sweet and beautifully written fic ^^! I like how you portayed their relationship, especially the sentence: "...and made me need him too." (wa~ai, I loved it how Waya always used to call Isumi "Isumi-san", while Isumi only called Waya by his name - I always waited for puppy ears to puff out of Waya's head ^^!) The idea of focusing on "hands" is very nice, too - me thinks that hands belong to the most "sensual" parts of the body :P!

There's only one little thing I'd like to nitpick: I won't go as far as describing Waya as the typical impulsive, hot-blooded manga guy such as Daisuke/Digimon or Zero/Megami Kouhosei, since he is actually very observant and intelligent himself (yes, me likes waya ^^). He was the first to find out that Hikaru has to be some kind of disciple of Sai, after all...

Anyways, I liked this fic a lot and I'm looking forward to reading more (WayaSumi ^^?) HikaGo fics from you! Tanoshimi daze!

The ideas you explore are interesting, especially concerning Isumi's multi-faceted personality. But I think the almost poetic style in which you wrote is what made the fic so enjoyable to read. Kudos.

Ooh; this was nice. It's certainly the most in-depth look into Isumi I've seen; using Waya to explore his character was a nice touch. I think you've captured both their personalities well; Isumi in particular, though I didn't see quite enough of Waya's character to know for sure. One thing that stood out to me as particularly noteworthy was how you drew (perhaps unintentionally?) the parallels between the Isumi/Waya relationship and the Sai/Hikaru one... I hadn't thought of it before, but it works. Everyone needs a guardian spirit, I guess...
