I just got goosebumps reading your story! Wow. It was very touching, and very sad, even though we all know it's 'for the best'. It makes you wonder (in relation to your story) whether that was why Theodred died... You're a very good writer!

i especially love the bond you described between theoden and theodred...since tolkien barely shows it and many fics i have read kind of skip over that too...

love the loyalty of the people of rohan to their horses...in such that a man could be sentenced to death by entering the stables...nice tough!

also love gandalf here...he is very much like gandalf...mysterious and all-knowing...great job on capturing his character

even though, the people of rohan call the wizard gandalf, and it is the people of gondor that call him mithrandir

other than that a very nice fic...extremely original, which is a welcomed breath of air in a swarm of unsatisfiying fics

The writing was exquisite; I don't how else to describe it. Fluid and silky are other adjectives that fit the bill.
