Ranma seemed to almost blow off the possibility of a reconciliation with Akane? Maybe he just needs time to get over the abuse, and he'll be ready to forgive and forget (as he always does) if/when a reformed Akane come looking for forgiveness. I certainly hope that that's the path you'll take.

I respectfully disagree with your evaluation of Ranma and Akane's chances. Yeah, they've got some serious issues, but I think that the jealousy thing would be resolved by him picking her rather than Ukyo, Shampoo, et al.

Still, you have done this scenario believably. I really hate the "Akane the psycho-**" stereotype that a lot of people fall back on if they want to break the two up, or if they simply hate Akane.

(Then again, I read the manga; I've heard that in the anime version, pretty much everyone acts in a more stereotypical way, so maybe I'd have the same opinion if I'd been acquainted with Ranma 1/2 from the anime.)

In other words, I wish you hadn't done that but you did it well. Don't be discouraged if anyone flames you.

By the way I like proakane stories but i like the way you portray her is very credible. Unlike other fics.
