The police work is realistic, their relationship is beautifully "fleshed" out (sorry for the bad pun, I couldn't help myself), and I've read it several times and like it more each time. Excellent story.

Great chemistry between Goren and Eames. (Not that they need any help but still, this lil' series of unfortunate events captured it really well.)

You've totally spoiled me now!) I love how you get inside Bobby's head: the split of attention, the slide into character, the constant analysis of surroundings, people and self. Eames? She's a tougher nut to crack (is that even possible??) but I like your take on her. Favorite part: the one hit, two hit blow-by-blow. Just genius. So immediate and stream-of-consciousness and gah. Wonderful stuff.

Okay, righteous over, this was AMAZING! I loved the way Alex remembered all the ways Bobby unconciously tries his best to make people comfortable. I loved this. I didn't appreciate Gary slapping Alex around, but the upside was Bobby putting his size thirteen foot as far up that bastard's as it would go. Squee. Protective!Bobby is Het!LOVE.

Seriously, if at one in the morning I can dissern that this is exceptionally good, then it is better than excepetionally good! Well done, and thanks for not letting it spiral into a romance.
