Wolf of Solitude 2001-11-22 . chapter 5I said I would write you a long review, so here it is. First of all, I need to say that as much as I hate seeing Harry get beaten up by Vernon, or Voldemort, I love it when people (particularly Sirius, Remus, and Dumbledore) come and resuce him. So that gives you a lot of points in my book. Secondly, I can't believe Harry tried to kill himself! He tried to shut everyone out (the confrontation in Dumbledore's office was brilliant, by the way), and then just end his life. When they talked in the common room, I felt so sorry for Harry! The line about getting to see his parents again melted my heart. I swear, I was almost in tears when Severus shouted, "Lily! James! He's too young!" I also loved the part about Ron outshadowing his brothers. Pure genius. Then, the whole deal with the dream catcher...that was just amazing. Although I was mad at Harry when he didn't just leave with Remus and Sirius while going one-on-one with Voldemort. When he decided to come back...he's dedicated his life to fighting Voldemort, and he even gave up a life with his parents to do so. And before I forget, the thing about the potion to send him over the edge was a really good thing to add. Okay, to put it mildly, I loved this story. Plain and simple. Thirdly, I loved the ending line. I just had to say that. Finally, I need to say that you are a terrific author. I doubt that anyone but you could have sat down and write this entire thing. Even though you pounded it, it was very nice. I understand why you may not want to write a sequel, even though I wish you would. You left a lot of holes for us to fill in. That adds to some of the charm, but for my wild imagination, it's a little too much. Heh heh. Anyway, keep on writing, and good luck in the future. |
