Loved your version of the ending. I thought Spuffy deserved more in the last episode. It kind of felt as incomplete. Your ending was pleasant and great. As I said before, you are a very talented writer.

I liked your story, for the most part. But if you're going to have a happily-ever-after ending (which I encourage!) with Buffy and Spike, there are some issues to be dealt with. Buffy will age, while Spike remains the same, among other problems. Plus, since when can Buffy do any spells? Other than the trance she did in one of the first episodes with Dawn, I don't think she has done any spells. Ok, enough of the criticism, like I said, for the most part I really enjoyed this fic.

Rah...*sighs* Gotta say I'm agreeing with you on Giles' opinion of BUffy. Sheesh. Talk about an arsehole. Anyways, loved your fic! Very well written and nicely ended!

Came on partly to show that I like your stuff enough to read all of it, but while I'm here I'll make some comments about the rape and about Dawn.

Buffy contributed to the rape scene in my (female) opinion by her previous behaviour. Their love-making often began with fighting so that made it harder for him to recognise her fighting him off for what it was. And she based their whole relationship on pain and rough stuff.

As for Dawn, yeah she was whiny and klepto and all the rest but hardly anyone really thinks about how she was affected by the show's events: 14 year old girl loses her mum and her only sibling within months of each other; has to bear the fear of being chased by a Hellgod, the guilt of knowing Buffy died for her, the untrustworthiness of her "friends" who didn't let her know when she was in danger from Glory (Buffy guilty on this one too) or when they were going to reanimate Buffy, and who were all too ready to kill her to save the world.

Then she loses Spike, a friend she can talk about her real life with (unlike Janice), when Buffy returns and everyone shuts him out again. Then she gets to go through all the pain all over again with Willow's Tabula rasa spell and this time nobody to talk to because they've either packed up or they're too busy dealing with their own pain.

Think about it.

I loved your blood idea. Very cool. Yeah, sappy, but that is ok. I just have a feeling I'm gonna hate the end of Buffy. But at least you gave me hope on the B/S shippiness. :)

Yes, sappy end, but I liked it anyway. I feel a little disappointed about Giles, I know he's being an ass, but I really want them to make up. I can't say I'm totally satisfied with your story as an ending to the series, but I like it as a story in itself. Nice job!

Good writing, very good character development. Also, very good point about the demon eggs. I think he knew they were there but not what they were. Spike has more than enough knowledge about demons to know how dangerous it would be but even more important, would he have made love to Buffy and allowed both of them to go to SLEEP, totally vulnerable, with something that deadly only a few yards away. But then the writers do stupid stuff all the time. Another point, about the rape, I am a woman and there is nothing that justifies rape but I have to say, in Buffy's case, she came as close as someone could to getting exactly what she asked for. I like Spike and love what the show did with him since the chip. I actually liked what happened with him all of last season up until the rape scene in the bathroom, that was extremely painful to watch. However, where I was once a Buffy/Spike fan, I no longer care much for that pairing, ESPECIALLY after seeing the show this year. She knew exactly who she was with last season, she knew she was playing with fire and did everything she could to encourage the demon and not the man. And then, on the one night when she actually calls on the man to be with her, demands his love and his need, she gets caught in the most embarrassing situation she could imagine, and dumps him. And then shits all over him for weeks before she shows him she's jealous and possessive, that he still belongs to her. And then she is shocked and horrified when he tries to go back to being the demon. I know men who would have responded badly to her behavior, what did she expect from a badly confused, desperate demon. There, rant over. No, it's not. This year she's been even worse. Traumatized flashbacks, my ass. Bitch. Give Spike to Angel, he'd be a lot nicer to him and wouldn't have left him in the basement to eat rats even without the soul.

I just found this story and I really like it. I can't wait to read the rest, but I think I'm going to have to. I'm trying to stay spoiler-free for the finale. I loved your author's note rant. And the idea of Riley being turned is one I'd never thought of. I had also never thought of Xander's attempted rape of Buffy and how that would have effected her. I think, though, that he redeemed himself when he didn't take advantage of her in Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I really like the story and I look forward to reading the rest after May.

Oh my god you really hit the nail on the head,with the rant I mean Spike by coucil info is 200,he said he was 126 and then in Fool for Love it says that he is turned in 1880 which would make him 123,also the whole Xander thing tooand snake worshipper,the show really needs some helpwith their math.
