This is beautiful.

absolutely splendid- the simplicity of the language makes this phenomenal (and i've got to say, so much better than i thought from the summary- an Avril Lavigne song does not do this justice, but in context, it works)- the idea of the piece of the pages growing inside her and feeling like a bookend, the wonderful description of the opening (especially of the good man not noticed next to the great), the dialog that is so very dead-on Ron and Hermione, bringing in Ron's relationship w/ Scabbers fantastically - fabulous writing and characterization here (esp. 'she was only quick about some things'.) great piece!

I know you might never read this review because you're probably all done with the realm of Harry Potter fanfiction, but I might as well review this anyways. This story is amazing. Every time I read it, it always just hits me all over again in a completely new way - which is pretty amazing since I always reread this story every few months, every little while since you published it on I always get little shivers at the same points and I always end up with a lump in my throat by the end of it. This story, to me, is perfection. It captures everything perfectly and it's nothing that you'd ever find in the canon series and it's just heartbreaking.

I don't know where I'm going with this. Just - amazing.

Very nicely written. I love metaphorical stories like these, especially if it's written in such a manner as you wrote it. Except, yours is probably and always going to be unique from now on.
