I love how you portrayed Butler, and especially Artemis. Everything is put together perfectly.
I don't know if you are going to continue with this story, but it really doesn't need to be continued, perfect where it is.

Also, I don't want to sound like I'm nagging, but I have noticed that you seem to have dropped out from the Artemis Fowl section. You haven't put up any chapters or stories in a very long time. I know you must be busy, but I would hate for your masterpiece "A Twist of Fate" to be forgotten. If you ever find the time, I would love to see at least a short story like this to appear in the Artemis Fowl section that was written by you.

Ah, I'm so jealous. You can get inside the characters' heads and express their feelings perfectly. Like with Butler. He really doesn't talk much at all, but when I read from his point of view... it fit him perfectly. Amazing.

I loved the way you wrote Butler, how his thoughts were appropriately philosphical and observant and, well, Butler-ish *mourns the demise of her vocabulary*, and yet laced with the characteristic protectiveness he feels for Artemis.

And your usage of actions to put across Artemis's feelings is pure brilliance. " He skids to a stop at the sight of me standing by the door, and looks torn for a minute, as if all he wants to do is to break through the door and pull his mother away from the wall, sobbing into her shoulders, weeping for her insanity, but cannot let go of his pride." The way you portray his vulnerability and longing really evokes Great And Unwavering Sympathy. *winces as her heartstrings are pulled* Oh, poor baby. Come here and let Rhapsody cuddle you.

You're so good at writing it makes me sick.
