This is quite possibly the best fanfic I've ever read. Beautiful revealing of character aspects and relationships, exquisite capturing of nuances and the complexity of each character. Deep and incredibly true to the soul of the series. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Yarg, sheer brilliance! I love it - the characterizations were perfect, the atmosphere and the mood that was set, it all flowed together perfectly, and the song added to the effect it left. I loved the stabs at the mermen and their fashion sense...seeing as how I pretty much dress the same way. n_n! I really enjoyed this, and you succeeded in emphasizing the relationship the fishmen had with Nami. Praises, praises, praises; I love your vocabulary and descriptive language. More more!

Whew, another dark piece. I don't usually like dark stories, but this and Sobriety are both really compelling. The interplay between Nami and the mermen (especially Arlong) is fascinating.

This was so well done, the song you chose really fits the way I think of the gyojin and the way they acted. both they and the song have an outer tone of fun and carefreeness but an underlying very evilness. I don't know if that makes sense. How can silly looking guys wearing Hawaiian shirts be evil, right? You know what I mean? That kind of thing. Everyone thinks this song is like, this fun, let's play it in the summer song when it's really about something completely different, and then something completely different from that.

Anyway, you pointed out a few things in this work for me to think about, pertaining to Nami's relationship with Arlong and that they needed to keep her alive. You did a wonderful job keepeing everyone in character, especially with Hatchan, which I think would have been the hardest. I'm really, really impressed. Good stuff.
