That, my dear, is the sound of my squeegee cleaning the water off my monitor. I spluttered all over the screen when I read the bit about pairing poor Legolas off with every Mary Sue in creation. This was fantastic, and as a member of several lists intentionally created to eliminate the 'fangirl' element of fandom from our discussions, I highly approve. I quite enjoyed Legolas in the books and films, and I agree he deserves better than that. If you haven't seen the Pirates of the Caribbean DVD, there is commentary with Keira Knightly and Jack Davenport which is worth watching- it's a riot. Ms. Knightly reveals that there were usually hordes of fangirls outside the studios who hated her because she got to kiss Orlando Bloom. I imagine she would enjoy your story, too... oh, and by the way, thanks for the wonderful grammar and correct punctuation, and for spelling all words out completely. (I loathe the 'UR GR8, kthx' mentality of some fangirls out there... glad you're not one of 'em!) --Q, off to read a bit more of your stuff when she has time

I really enjoyed your story. It was clever and made me laugh. I loved your description of the "reptilian" fangirl image. Funny stuff. And, yes, I could be branded as a fangirl. I accept the stigma of the title.
I didn't mind the whole slash fans part, even that was humurous. But once Legolas contimplated over the "take off your trousers comment" I thought that was a bit much.
Well anyways, I think you did a superb job at creating a laugh inducing story.

This is such a funny story..a lil confusing at the end.but REALLY funni..and so true! all these girls only like "orli" because of his looks! sigh.what trouble...REALLY REALLY ADORABLE!
