Um, I think you have the wrong story downloaded here. I'm getting the one where Pippin tries to make Boromir laugh. It's a good story, just not the right one I don't think.

My sister, Dancingkatz, pointed me at your fics. I'm a huge Pippin and Boromir fan, and am ever so pleased to have gotten to read this story.

I saw a few typos, but the tale kept me absorbed so that the spelling errors didn't kick me out of the suspension of disbelief.

I can't say which lines I liked best because I liked all of them! The characterization is excellent, and the only thing I would have liked better was for it to be longer. *smile*

I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your fics. In fact, I think I'll get started on the next one now.

Wonderful! Beautifully written. Amazing insight into each of the charecters. I loved the way you wrote Boromir. Gimli as not featured enough for my tastes, but he was well-done-- icing on the cake. Utterly charming. Very beautiful, sweet, and true to the charecters.

I read this and could not put it down. The story flowed flawlessly and included the thoughts and feelings of different members of the fellowship.
You are a very good writer, Pipkin Sweetgrass, and best of all you're from Savannah, Ga. I live 2 hours away & am always glad to hear about fellow Southerners doing well & expressing themselves in a positive way as you are. Keep up the good work.

P.S. Also consider reading Pearl Took. She is also very good. I think you'd enjoy her. She is a consientious writer just as you.

Ah! I have my answer! I saw where I did read the other story because when I read the same passage in this story, I knew then that I'd read it once before--but that was okay! I reread that story AND this story--as I often do great tales! Thanks for sharing your fantastic writing!

Brilliant fic! I like how you incorperated the rest of the Fellowship's thoughts and feelings in, very interesting and well written.
The part when Boromir thought Pippin was dead was very touching, I am glad we get to see some 'nice Boromir' in this fic. He's one of my favorite characters, as well as Pippin and Faramir.
Wonderful work, I enjoyed it very much.

This is so fascinating, I don't even know where to start. The way you used this illness to show us the heart and essence of each member of the fellowship (Pippin not the least) is marvelous.

My favorite lines:

"They do not delight in glory, unless it is the glory of watching something grow, or in the simpler glory of preparing and sharing a meal, a drink, or a good smoke"

'Was this, then,' Frodo thought, 'when our own Fellowship began?'

"There was no conceit in this self-awareness, but a certain surety and a confidence."

"And then he thought, suppose I have children, and Pippin has children, and they marry?"

And most particularly:

"Caradhras had been defeated!" That's a terrific insight. I'm just so impressed with this little story.

This is a very interesting, a hurt/comfort story with delving into the various characters and foreshadowing. And of course the best, lots of Pippin. Very nice, thank you.
