You know what? I really liked that! The idea behind it and the potential was brilliant, but- i know, there is a but, but u did ask for suggestions- I think some parts should be tweeked a little for maximum emotional impact. Like, when he says "Harry", I think it should be Potter, because Draco Malfoy's character is emersed in formalities and regardless of how he feels about the war- Potter will always be Potter to him. And the musings- both Harry's and Draco's, I think should be contracted. You have something very emotional to say, but you over explain it sometimes. sometimes a single sentence would have done fine, but you have added an extra one. Like:

"The wind slashed through his hair. His manoeuvres were death-defying...

He contemplated death..." If you took out "his manoevers were death-defying..." it would make the statement following leave more of an impact.

I'm impressed. I like the dimension you added to Malfoy's character it makes you look at him in a completely different light. Good work!

I never thought of Draco that way...it's very interesting. Good job.

I very rarely read angst and/or anything with the Boy-that-lived in it, but I liked that.

At the beginning the story seemed as another H/D angst stories, but the last paragraph produced a very different angle the I liked. Unusual, to say the least, and this means a lot when it comes to HP fanfiction.

One note, though, regarding the formatting. I'm not sure how well bold and underlined text works in a story. But again this might be a completely personal thing, so feel free to ignore me.

Whoo! It's Morbane! Oddly enough I just stumbled across this without looking for your account. I really like this Morbane my dear, it was very sad though...I hate Harry being a helpless symbol. Like a modern day Joan of Arc really. *Muses* Yes...very sad.

This was very good. And yes, I think it is different from the other stories. I mean, it's not the first time Draco seems to care about Harry, but in here, he doesn't really like him, it's more like he understands him and supports him...without showing it.He is in the good side,but doesn't tell it because Hary needs him to be his enemy.
And I think the codependency between the two really exists. Even if their relationship isn't fully described in the books,there's a strong connection between them. I really hope JK Rowling will do something about this...

alright- here's my comment: the second part- the guilt thing and Harry's isolation from his friends- is nothing new, but it's done quite neatly here. the first part is a different story- it's metaphoric, if i'm not reading too much into it, and it subtly suggests that Draco's attitude to the whole thing may not be exactly what it seems to be. the last part is great- interesting take on the good/evil dynamic, without a total departure from character. this is actually quite interesting, certainly not overdone. and anyway, sometimes i think that every possible imaginable plotline or viewpoint for the continuation of these books has been used or warped somewhere. the real question left is whether even JKR is going to be able to come up with something that hasn't already been done.

oh, that was very nice. good job. although yu could have expanded a bit more.but sweet and short is good.
