Seriously, Kurapika has enough sense to make sure he was the only one before he confesses his love to some man, especially Leorio judging from the relationship they had during the hunter examnation. Although as a fact Kurapika is obsessed with vengeance, he is not stupid or weak. He is a rational, nice and conservative guy most of the time (that means when he's not thinking about the spiders), and obviously in this case, he would either trust Leorio on his words or try not to make too much of a fool out of himself.
Really, a chain in the heart to make sure Leorio doesn't cheat? What is your version of Kurapika thinking...
