Twoflower 2003-03-24 ch 1, anon.	abuseThis is a delightful story, I found myself in the worls of the Watch series yet again. Loved all the gags, "It was the force of Detritus" especially cracked me up. Liked the bit with Vimes and Angua trying not to laugh at Carrot' serious outlook on drill exercise. Only aye am not sure that Vetinari would casually go places with the likes of Selachii to talk about business, Guild brothers or not. I rather think V would make the poor guy to make an appointment in the Oblong office and wait in the anteroom listening to the disconcertingly sounding clock for a few minutes :)

And thank you, as always, for your reviews :) Detritus' little knot-tying escapade hearkens back to the fact that I still do not know how to tie a bow knot correctly. I can tie a bowlin, monkey's fist, and regular tie, but I can't tie my own shoes properly, though my six year old sister can (and is trying to teach me). Sad, I know. My father spent two hours explaining bunnies and trees and holes to five-year-old me before giving up and, according to mum, asking what on earth he was going to do when he had to explain the birds and bees to me. To which my mum supposedly replied that there were no knots involved, just more metaphors, so I ought to be fine. Anyhow. Enough rambling. Thanks again for your reviews :)

I did wonder about the Piecemaker - someone who knew Detrius had to've come up with it. not exactly the sort of thing they need to sell in your average weaponary store. Funky.
