It's the missing scene. That sounds like it could have fit in with the cartoon! Honestly... great job! I liked it!

I love it! You never see Leo really comforted by anyone, but it makes sense that after he and Raph get into it someone has to pick up the pieces. And all the things they go through would be weighing on his mind all the time if he's the leader. I never really liked Leo, but the way you described him makes me see him in a new light. Well done.

Wow. Reading this takes me back. I'm astonished (and deeply gratified) to find a mature, well-written and thoughtful fic on the turtles we all love. Excellent job!

It seems you are good with characters no matter what they are. This was done perfectly in the style of the cartoon I'd watched and loved for years.

Ya know, I find it so ironic that I too rediscovered TMNT - I was such a fan when I was younger. And the very night that I rediscovered them, I found your short fic. Such irony.

Leonardo has always been my favorite character mainly cause I too am an older sibling and was once put into a situation where I felt I had to take care and protect my siblings and prepare them for the real world. So his behavoir was much like my own growing up (probably why I related to him so well *silly grin*).

I also loved the brother relationship between Leonardo and Donatello, as well as Raphael and Michelangelo. I also would've loved to see the conversation between Raphael and Michelangelo. Raphael was also one of my favorites, mainly because he was everything that I had wanted to be as a teen, but felt I couldn't.

Now that is probably more than ya wanted to know, but reading your fic really hit home to me. In a few pages you summed up how I pictured Leonardo perfectly. And this may sound strange since I know this is all fantasy, but I also found this fic very comforting that I wasn't alone in feeling like this when I was a teen.

You did a wonderful job writing - very descriptive and full of emotion. I was able to relate with it so personally that I had tears in my eyes. Thanks.

This was a great story, very deep. I like the way you did Leonardo's character, no one should have to feel that way. I see my self more like Donnie and Mikey mixed together.

Okay, that dad line just about made me teary-eyed...(or, actually, it kind of did...). Anywho...good story! I was thinking that it would end up being more about Raph, but this made me appreciate a lot more Leonardo's character. I admit, I also sometimes get caught up into thinking that he's just brown-nosing Splinter, but I really liked your interpretation of it. (It's probably the truth, or if not, pretty close to it.)

As for the dad thing... I don't like the stories with the turtles hooking up with cats or people or whatever, but maybe somewhere down the storm drain, a different kid dropped a jar of baby turtles...who knows? =) Anyway, good story.

Yay! I love angsty-leo. Leo's really never noticed so I'm happy you wrote this! I was hoping for another TMNT from you but oh well. This great story is going on my favorites list!

PS-I don't think any of the turtles were out of character.

This story was wonderful! Well written and thought out. I've always been a Leo fan and this story gave some very thoughtful insight into his character. Will there be more turtles stories? I hope so :)
