DA 8/7/08 . chapter 8 That was so sad, I felt so bad for Legolas and Thranduil but I'm glad they'll be able to recover from the double loss. |
The Sheltering Willow 10/30/05 . chapter 8 I loved the way you made King Thranduil be. I always knew that he was a kind hearted Elf. Legolas was great, too. :-) |
merrymagic 5/10/05 . chapter 8A beautiful story about loss, grief, and acceptance. I must confess, the lissuin petals floating down from the heavens made me teary-eyed. Brilliant work! |
Altaria Artanis 10/16/04 . chapter 8Excellent! I loved it! And what a way to end it! I had tears in my eyes-and on my face-during parts of it but I'm so glad little Legolas is well! And thranduil too. It's nice not to read an evil thranduil fic. Sometimes they're good, but sometimes the mere idea makes my blood boil! Love the stories Jay. I'm off to read some more! |
moonshine4488 8/26/04 . chapter 8AW! That was sad. I almost cried! Great job on this fic! |
MysticHeero 6/10/04 . chapter 8Hey, ye told the stories from yer other fic (soz but i can't remeber the name of it)! I love wolfhounds - they're so cute. I've had a few over the years and despite what most think they're not rough - they're really gentle and caring of little ones (I have a picture of me sister, aged 3, asleep against one). Anywho, i love the story darln'. As always yer fics kick ass! Keep it up please. Toodles and Ta me dear. Keep on typing the honey |
Mint Bubble 4/9/04 . chapter 8*sigh* that's such a sweet story. it's nice how Thranduil was able to explain to Legolas that he didnt do anything wrong. Is very nice story. Keep writing ) |
Flashgriffin 2/25/04 . chapter 8Oh, my... that was lovely. I cried so many times, it was just great. You are an incredible author, Jay. |
Padfoot4ever 8/16/03 . chapter 8Oh i loved it! Too bad it had to end! Great work! |
Sindarin Lady 8/9/03 . chapter 8aw. this ends really well, have you ever read one of Treehugger's stories? your's remind me of hers |
Scoop-K 7/7/03 . chapter 6I just finished Chapter 5... you brought me to tears. I love Thranduil, although I admit I picture him as a bit more of a bastard most of the time, and I love that you haven't made him Evil! I can't wait to read what happens next, so I'm going to go do just that. Great story so far! |
TreeHugger 6/23/03 . chapter 8It is so very good to see Thranduil and Legolas laughing and enjoying life once more. Mourning the loss of a loved one is never easy, but then life does continue; it is all part of the healing process. I admit to tearing up at Thranduil's "dream." The petals on his chest though prove that it was more than mere dreamstuff. :) Very nicely done. Then when they find the lissuin. This is indeed a most magical day. :) I am very glad that it grows in profusion so they may take some. Thranduil is indeed a good and wise king, and a most wonderful father. He knows how to make his child feel safe without treating him like a child. I love the way you have Thranduil so in touch with the world that is his very own. That is magical, and one of the things that is just so very elvish. :) :) I wondered if the great, good king could deny his son a puppy. I really like that Legolas had named him Huan. Very fitting. I am glad that Legolas will have something to care for, he needs that now. Wonderful chapter, Jay, and a most lovely story. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Elenath sila am le! |
Lady Berenice 6/21/03 . chapter 8A fantastic story, with such a sweet ending. Huan the puppy is so cute! I hope we see more of him in your other stories |
Alarielle 6/21/03 . chapter 8That was lovely! Having a nice Thranduil is a wonderful break from all the nasty ones we're so used to! |
Firnsarnien 6/15/03 . chapter 8Ah! :) Rubbing my belly, er, I mean, my head? satisfied and content with this wonderful story and happy ending! Since Legolas is such a beautiful Elf all grown up, I can imagine what an angelic picture he must have made as a child! :) *sigh* Loved this story! It was so touching! Thanks for giving us some insight to Legolas' life as a child! It was very rewarding. I look forward to more of your writing! :) |
