Ivycloak 11/30/12 . chapter 6Brilliant! |
Ivycloak 11/30/12 . chapter 2The English call it Primary School, I believe. I may be wrong though...I don't actually live in England, I just come from an English family. Love the story, by the way. I loved how everyone discovered about Harry's disability. |
Scarabara 11/10/12 . chapter 1 I like it so far... except that I just noticed that it's incomplete and hasn't been updated in some time...! Ah well, I've read many a fic worth the horror and odd withdrawal symptoms that come from being cut off my fic/drug of choice at the moment! I look forward to seeing where this goes:) |
Griffin Raven 7/25/12 . chapter 6Hmm...upon reading this story has made be reflect upon the fact that most children & adults have rather limited or no interaction with persons who are either deaf, mute or both. So its not at all surprising that most of those at Hogwarts didn't know or even recognise sign language when young Harry used it...well apart from the over-achiever Hermione Granger! With hold victorian & steeped in traditions the wizarding & pureblood world is its very likely that any child born/or as a result of an accident becomes either disabled, deaf, mute or both is very likely to be treated the same as squibs...unless they are part of a loving & more openly acceptable family...thus either kiled or abandonded into the muggle world orphange despite them still having a magical core! |
Griffin Raven 7/25/12 . chapter 3Wonder if any of the staff or Poppy would even think about getting someone to give young Harry "speak theapry" lessons because this might also be of aid to him in his interactions with his peers & also in his classes along with whatever else that Albus & the other staff are trying to accomplish so that Harry can learn & cast magic? I can hardly wait to see just what might happen next within this story to young Harry & if he'll have any problems with any of the other students in regards to bullying, teasing or students thinking that he's a soft target because he can't hear or speak? Wonder just what Severus, thinks of Harry now that he's learnt the truth (straight from Harry) about just how "lovingly" the Dursleys treatd him from the very moment they found him on there doorstep & how they regarded his inability to speak or hear...and just what the poor wee lad was denied for the last 10yrs...because sure'll not even Severus could hold out a grudge against Harry, because its very clear that he never had a spoilt childhood like his father James Potter & neither is he anything like him apart from in looks? |
