WOW! I am impressed by your level of "craftsmenship." You are dead on with all the characters, with the exception of Katsu. But hey, someone had to be the bad guy, so it's alright. The plot of this fic also gets brownie points for originality. I've yet to come across one like it. I also love how you haven't made Kauro the bad guy; yet atleast. I wouldn't mind if it had to go there eventually. But I thin her character especially is perfectly portrayed; especially her little outburst when Kenshin finally told her what was wrong, LMAO!
