I will be honest. Backwards spiral and The Future Past's Present are two of the most heartwrenching stories i've ever read.

When i finished reading the first one, lol. On thanksgiving day, I was so shocked and confused. I couldn't believed Dib died! I was so sure Zim would get a brilliant idea. like Go back in time, and meet his future self when Future Zim was doing tests on Dib when he was a baby. And secondly, i was heartbroken that future Zim would even do something like put some strage diesease to kill dib. I was just screaming "why" over and over in my head. To not go completly into panic, i tried to rationalize it. Maybe something bad was going to happen in the future, so Future Zim killed Dib to spare him from witnessing it. Like putting a Dog down before it suffers. I just wish this story would continue. oh, and it's obvious that Backwards Spiral is the prequal. The reason everything happened the way it did in The Future Past's Present. I'm just so depressed now. i already was of course, but now i'm more so. Damn myself for my empathy. The thing that boggles my mind is, Why did Future Zim's Syrum thing didn't work. He did all those test! and we know that while it didn't work on Future Dib, it still was successful to a smaller extent. After all it stop the deteriation and cured many human illnesses. And if Future Zim spent a lot of time doing test on baby Dib, why did he fail? wasn't he cautious enough to only administer the syrum that had the highest possibility of succeding. Also, there is the question of where did Future Zim go after he was done testing baby Dib. did he just disappear?

So many questions i have that are still unanswered. but they're moslty resulting from my inability to comprehend that the ending is really the end. I truly do love the endings, though. I just wish things could be different. it doesn't mean the way it actually did end was any less brilliant. I really do just wich this was more of a trilogy. a third part where present Zim escapes capture or where ever they put him after they take him from the hospital. then he would time-travel. most likely to get answers and Save Dib. After all, Zim has nothing else to do or live for without Dib. So it's pluasable that Zim would want to do something to save Dib in someway now. Who knows, maybe he can even get Dib's fater to help him. Like when they're in where ever Zim is being held, Proffesor membrane would be there. then they could talk and Prof Membrane would help Zim escape so Zim could Save Dib from ever dying.

It'll be kinda ironic.
It would take three tries to finally get to an outcome that's satisfactory. So much pain and suffering before they finally obtain happiness.

I would love to see that happen. It would make so much sense too. Not to mention that this story, to me, just doesn't feel finished. I just can't imagine Zim spending the rest of his life being tested on and dissected on an operating table. and to add insult to injury, it ain't even Dib who's doing it!

While Zim is a bit insane and eccentric, he is a bit clever inside that strange mind.

*sighs* Maybe i'm being too optimistic.

It really would be great if you wrote one more part to this magnificent story. i wish you still had that evil muse of yours. :(

Also, I too, can't find the link to the NC-17 version of this. As a rabid yaoi fangirl and a messed up person in general... You can be sure that i wouldn't hesitate for a second to read it. I just wish i knew where it was. :/

Also, i find it ingenious that Zim put GIR into a preschool in this story. lol. ADHD. That's just brilliant. ^_^
I can only imagin what GIR does in school. Not to mention i think it's adorable. personally, i think Gir would look cute in black hair. *grins* shoulder length black hair. and with his gorgeous turquoise eyes! he would be the cutest kid ever!

The point is, I love your story exponentially. So much in fact that i wish it didn't have to end. The twists you come up with are truly brillaint and your story telling abilities are exceptional. Even if you don't decide to with a third part to this amazing story, i will treasure what you have written with all my heart.

;__; I'm sad for two reasons. One, knowing that Zim's plan went wrong and Dib ends up dying *sob*, and two, the fact that there's no more of this story for me to read.

You write very well, even with the misspellings and misusage here and there (which I ended up totally ignoring in the end, because the tale-telling itself was so magnificant). I was swept up in the tale.

Hmm... it's interesting how often Smacky(sp?) is used this way, either through rape or bullying. Interesting to me because the only part he ever played in the show wasn't an abusive one at all, even if he was an idiot (like everyone else). I do suppose it's just because one can so easily imagine him playing the part of the bully; he does seem like he was designed for just that, doesn't he? But anyways, my stupid reflection is over. Again, wonderful work here. I wish your muse hadn't died on you.

Holy **. I gotta say that is one of the best fics I've ever read. Wow. At first I thought you were nuts when I read the first IZ fic before this. When Dib died and you didn't explain why. Ahh..I got so mad but then I saw this fic after it supposedly explaining stuff. But it was SO LONG. I almost got impatient. Ahh. But everything makes sense now. It's really depressing but still great! :) LOVE IT, LOVE YOU, LOVE IT AND LOVE YOU!

Loved this story. I had no real idea how on earth you were going to tie this into the first one, but you managed to pull it off with flying colors.
My writing comment: You're good at it. I'm sad your muse died.
My favorite parts of the story? Your alliteration and the line "The first thing Zim learned to love about Earth was its gravity", which pops up at the best moments. Wonderful job.
I'll go back in time and kill you if you don't write a story that continues this timeline.
