| adpacaus 2006-05-17 ch 21, | abuseWow! what a powerful story... Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. |
| Ishmael 2003-05-07 ch 21, | abuseokay, so i basically have the exams on which my life depends next week, and i'm sitting here reading this epic. the whole lot, six plus hours. needless to say, it's impressive and i'm in awe of your ability to tackle each of the characters with equal weight. i love Steve, too; the J/D UST, however, is getting a tiny bit frustating... hint hint. in short: wonderful, write more - i would elaborate but really, "wonderful" is all i have to say. |
| Neci 2003-04-27 ch 21, | abuseFurther to Fly just keeps getting better and better. I'm particularly impressed by how you handle Toby... he's a prickly one, and hard to write for. I'm looking forward to the next installment. |
| MAHC 2003-04-06 ch 20, anon. | abuseWhat a great ending to a marvelous story. You take Jed all through the hell of dealing with his very personal experience in a very public arena, but never let him lose his dignity or himself. And the strength you have him show at the end is true to character. Super speech, by the way, that he makes to the press corps. Powerful and inspiring. Sorry to see this story end, but looking forward, not only to the return of the "Further to Fly" series, but your other West Wing projects. |
| Lady Abbey Bartlet 2003-04-04 ch 21, anon. | abuseBravo! You are incredibly good at writing fan fiction. The way use use words to weave your story, you shame a lot of other writers. I never read something as...well, there's no proper word in the English language to desribe your story. The detail, the emotion, the drama! You put a lot of effort into your stories, and for that, I am an extremely satisfied reader. Please continue with your series sometime soon. Even if you don't continue it anytime soon, I won't care. Anything you write is well worth reading. *Lady Abbey Bartlet* |
| Perri Smith 2003-04-04 ch 21, | abuseJust lovely, Nomad. You do a wonderful job of addressing things that AS lets fall to the wayside, and do it better than he does. The entire situation with the President's past was hendled sensitively but without pulling punches, and everyone's reactions were spot-on. I particularly loved your handling of Ellie. Bravo! Looking forward to the next story, and to any other fic you choos to work on. |
| BenRG 2003-04-04 ch 21, | abuseActually, this /would/ make a fair ending of the entire series (although I hope it isn't). The President is back on his feet (mostly), but much still remains to be resolved: Toby's own hurts, Josh trying to find his feet again and the question of whether or not Sam will keep his beard. ;-) Seriously, I have followed this series this far and I like it a lot. I will continue to follow your work so long as you publish it. BenRG's Rating: 7/10 |
| Rose 2003-04-03 ch 20, anon. | abuseYay. The President finally got the 'slap down he needed'. Can't wait for what happens now, and what C.J.'s going to say. Again, many thanks. |
| BenRG 2003-04-02 ch 19, | abuseWell, all I can say is that my jaw dropped open with that last scene. Now I'm looking forward to the denoumént. I hope it is worthy of this wonderful series. BenRG's Rating: 7/10 |
| MAHC 2003-04-02 ch 19, anon. | abuseWow! The emotion at the end is what you have been building toward the entire story and it has such impact. Only with Abbey can Jed let go and even then it is really involuntary, but you have painted such an anguished picture of him that we knew it had to give way dramatically. Marvelous emotion. I'm waiting breathlessly for the next part! |
| SecondSilk 2003-03-31 ch 16, | abuseStanley is very good. Story is great. Can we have more Steve, please? |
| Teilani 2003-03-30 ch 16, anon. | abuseNomad, I've been one of those most inconsiderate of people who's been enjoying your regular posts for the stories of this series and been spell bound by them. This is wonderful work, and well, I'll try to let you know more often! The characters are believable, the dialogue is smartly sharp, and the plots are so solid - very nicely done. With thanks and hopes that you keep carrying on this Further to Fly series for a while yet, ALJ Vuorela |
| BenRG 2003-03-28 ch 14, | abuseWell, what can I say? "Deconstructing the West Wing" would be a better title for this installment. ;-) They all have their pain, of course, but one wonders if this situation might lead to a grand mutual self-destruction. I loved Bartlett shutting up Donna's sister, by the way. I'm going to follow this one to the end. BenRG's Rating: 7/10 |
| SecondSilk 2003-03-25 ch 10, | abuseThank you very much for the new chapter. I particularly liked the first scene between the President and Stanley. I welcomed the insights it had. And my vocabulary has disintegrated. I loved it. |
| kesi 2003-03-21 ch 7, anon. | abusePart Six of the series was sort of really dull, and I was concerned that this would be too. It's not. It's right back up to your outstanding quality. I'm definitely enjoying it. |
