Interesting,I think you've shown us a Side of Kid rarely seen by the eyes of Man.

This is a little confusing and it doesn't explain where the feeling came from but don't feel bad you set the mood like a pro [something I would kill to be able to do] and I can really tell how the character is feeling you just need to explain a little more.
