This story looks good so far, I like the way that you have the Taelon synod behaving a bit more like a royal court with the Synod Leader being like a king.

I also like the more international dimensions that you seem to be putting into the story.

I have one question. You mentionned that if some aspects of Earth: Final Conflict outlined in the show would change, characters would remain the same. But I saw how you dealt with the relationships with the Synod and was a bit unsettled - do you intend to make it so that Zo'or would be a mere rival to Da'an (not being his child) ?

I apologize if I've given a spoilers away. Have you seen the four other seasons of the show ?

I must confess I don't totally agree with that side of Taelons (as you presented them) being mean, manipulative, abusive and the Synod being structured like a royal hierarchy, but that's an interesting point of view that can bring a new light to the story.

I liked the slightly international undertone in the second section, with the asian space-searched/astronomist woman.

I liked the writing overall, looks very professional. Okay, you just probably DO re-read yourself, which happens rarely enough in the area of fanfic - I myself don't correct my stuff.

And if you're interested in posting this story elsewhere, I could give you some plugs of websites and boards. Though most of the EFC fandom has died away recently with the end of the series...
