This was a rather fascinating premise. Pulled me right in. Looks like it's not going to be updated, but I'm clicking the story alert button just in case inspiration strikes you again sometime.

Excuse my lack of understanding, but I simply cannot see how this "experiment" could benefit Dr Montand to aid her patients...unless she was going to be a psychiatrist...specializing in the "How can different factors affect anyone's libido?--in the unlikely conditions"
It may have been an interesting one for Holmes though, ...Some Experience.

Hah, i was really like good ol’ Watson, searching for all possible and impossible hidden affection between the husband and wife, but..

For the first time i wish Watson was wrong in his guess; young John will be alright, won’t he? I really hope so ;)

I like it. You are definately keeping with the Holmes originally created by Conan Doyle. I have to compliment your writing style also; it sounds like Doyle.

Wow, you updated fast! It'd be fantastic if you can continue to keep posting at this pace. I'm puzzled by one thing, however: It's clear that John's mother is worried. What about his father? Granted, Holmes is certainly not an emotional person, but you'd think that he'd be concerned for the boy as well, especially if he visits him every week. This would imply that Holmes and his son know each other well, and thus far you've given us no indication that the two are on anything but amiable terms with each other. Nice teaser with the last line of this chapter; I can't wait to see how this plays out.

Does Holmes have to be that cruel? It breaks my heart! (oka, okay i know i’m just a hopeless romantic in heart); the whole part i, and i think i wasn’t alone- sweet watson is always there, tried to find something in Holmes’s speech that will calm my heart, that began to beat a bit too fast, but nothing came.. and then you saved my poor heart from leaping out with the last paragraph, last phrase! Bravo, bravisimmo!

r:) *don’t like repeatings, but.. please update asap :D*

I knew it, I knew it, I KNEW IT!! Auugh! I can't STAND it!! How could Holmes be that... cruel?? I personally am of the belief that Holmes has a great deal of emotion; he just tries to hide it. (See my essay, Perfectly Elementary.) Oh well. Perhaps, by the end of the fic, he and Dr. Montand will have rekindled their marriage! Anyone know a good marriage counselor?

Update soon, before I keel over from suspense!

Ever mad,

Ha! I knew it! OK, I didn't actually KNOW it, but I had this strange inkling after reading the last chapter. It's good you update quickly, because that's a lovely cliffhanger you left us with :-) This is very well-written, with a distinct Doyle-ian (yeah, yeah, I'm making up words)flavor to it. Keep up the good work!

You clearly have Doyle's Sherlock Holmes formula down pat, and execute it eloquently. This is an intriguing story so far. I look forward to more!

Holmes and the good lady Doctor once had a relationship in the past resulting in the two having a child, namely John.
This was not an extremely difficult mystery to solve. On the other hand I like the story. So far, Holmes and Watson are very much in character and your originals have their distinctive personalities and are sticking close to them.
