I really like your version of events, too! Especially how you intertwine my favorite two strategists into the story; this is exactly how I would picture Apple as a child, as well as Shu. The dialogue between the two reflects their relationship perfectly, and your general word phrasing throughout the story made me smile. I find your writing style very attractive and inspirational. Excellent job!

Me again. This is a brilliant story, in my opinion. I can only strive to write my own this well. Mathiu, as you already know, is a favorite of mine, but what I really loved about this one was the characterization of Shu. Very well done.

despite your violations of canonical information, as you had put it, i find this another wonderful read. ^_^ you do depict Apple very nicely, and the fact that i've never even paid much attention to her character in the game, and yet here i am, devouring your loads of Apple one-shots, means that you really are an excellent writer. i've never found a better depiction of Apple as the one in your stories. i hope you continue writing more of these.

It was a very charming story, all puns aside =P

I'm not too certain of how sophisticated Shu would've been back then, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he was. It does seem as though Konami enjoys sneaking in tidbits just when you're feeling creative, doesn't it? O_o Oh well. It didn't take away from the quality of the story, though. I couldn't spot any grammatical/spelling errors, and the tale seems to flow nicely. As I said, very charming. All in all, a great read.

I loved this story... Who really cares if it breaks canon if it's so wonderfully written? (I honestly didn't know about Apple's whereabouts when she met Mathiu, so I take the canon info in stride. ^_^) You developed Apple's growing crush on Shu quite well, and her admiration for Mathiu really shone through in the brief encounter they had. I almost wish you were a romance writer, since I'd love to see your take on a relationship between Shu and Apple.

Again, a wonderful job. I love all your Suikoden stories, and I love all the Silverbergs. (Even Leon, and I really hated his guts in Suikoden II until I realized the whole purpose of the Silverberg family. -_-;;) I look forward to whatever Suikoden stories you decide to put out!
