You asked for strange pairings, and i'm not sure if you don't like yaoi, but there's Sess/Kouga or maybe Inu Yasha/Kouga, maybe Sango/Kouga. Kouga's cool. Sorry if I seem biased.

well... this is kinda a crossover pair, but i LOVE kagome and kurama! also i think kagome and hiei would be a very interesting pair... and for the series alone, this is the oddest pair i could come up with... kikyo and jaken! (im a kikyo hater, can ya tell? ~_^

My fav pairings are probably Sessh/Kagura, Kouga/Kagura, Sessh/Kikyo and Inu/Sango.
In my opinion, Inu/Kago and Mir/San are getting boring, as is Sessh/Kago, and there are too many fics revolving around Kagome.
