| Yami Vizzini 2007-10-26 ch 7, | abuseIt was interesting to read about the various "dark Chosen", although I thought they were ultimately dealt with too easily. I mean, Leiko's Digimon randomly turns on her? I can't really blame it, but I would think it would have tried to simply push her off the cliff instead of jump with her, and for such a great writer as kale, it was a jarring moment. Otherwise, though, good read. As for the end, I don't usually care for "choice" fics, but again, it was handled realistically (insofar as the situation itself is at all realistic). |
| Sonfaro 2007-08-10 ch 1, | abuseI'm not sure if I ever had a chance to review Kale when he was with us. I was a lurker then, and hadn't gotten around to writing anything. So, I suppose the only person I can thank for these is you. Thank you for posting them, because every fanfiction writer, if he/she wants to be good needs to read these tales. I think one of the problems with the fanfiction today is that they ben the characters to there whim, instead of trying to flow with them. And in my opinion Kale did that. So, thanks again for allowing these fics to be read. - Sonfaro |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 7, | abuseHilarious opening to this fic. I've also seen that scene plagiarized in a few stories from other writers. One of the many magical parts of kale's writing is his ability to place humor in various places and not have it seem out of place or have it distract from the main plot line. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 6, | abuseKale writes very good romance, especially for someone who claims to not be able to write it very well. Even the admittedly hard headed characters can come off as very tender during his romance scenes, and that's something very special. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 5, | abuseKind of confusing how Tai got suckered into switching sides so easily. I understand the gist of the thing where he's so mentally wasted, but he seems to vacillitate pretty easily. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 4, | abuseUgly death for Leiko. Kale can get kind of graphic sometimes, and Matt's battle scene was truly worthy. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 3, | abuseDaven was one of the dark chosen that I wished had been used more. Pretty unusual villian type that is effectively written. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 2, | abuseThat scene in the middle between Tai and Sora, where she grabbed his ear and pulled him away to yell at him, is still a classic of Taiora interaction. One of the first, best interpretations of said characters in a believeable way. There were talented Taiora writers before kale, but he added a new level to the relationship there, one that I've seen copied ad nauseum. |
| K Patrick 2003-11-16 ch 1, | abuseFirst appearance of Roan, the penultamate human villan for the digimon fandom. Kind of like a slightly less urbane but more physically imposing Hannibal Lector. I think a lot of kale's fans forget, since it isn't brought up much, how physically gifted Roan is supposed to be. |
| Haichi 2003-09-09 ch 7, | abuseI have to agree; not as good as the first one. Yet, I love the moments of drama, and suspense. Even though most of us knew it would be Tai, hence the title 'The Taiora Saga'. Still an outright, great fanfic! |
| Pessimistic Angel of Hope 2003-08-13 ch 6, | abuseIt's a well wriiten piece... But I'm not sure the this round of editing is good or bad for the story, as it, and soulbond seems to miss some part which I thought was profound... |

| CFC 2003-07-10 ch 7, anon. | abuseFunny and romantic ending that contradicts strongly with the heavy drama and action of the previous chapters. Nice job. |
