I have an idea. How about a flashforward for the a final chapter? A jump into the future to see how things turned out for them in the long run. It's just a suggestion. Awesome job.

I think that's a wonderful ending. Very different from the Reavers story. So he saves her, huh? Not the other way around. So he should have a stronger inclination to protect her and not go wanderin' off to nowhere every other week (or at least take her with). This would definitely change some of the story line. But, as you said, nice alternate way for them to meet.
