(this is not a review) HEY, i know your probally busy with chapter 33 but you should look at final fantasy dissidia on youtube, the trailor is awesoma and it might help with your story, a story that combines final fantasys (hint hint)

It's been awhile since I read this story, so I was happy when I saw the alert that it was updated (finally, I might add).

Anyway, I have to say you are a very talented writer. Much better than me anyway, though I try. Anyway, writer's block happens to me all the time, so don't worry over it.(I'm starting to think it's a result of trying to please my audience, when really I should just write for myself.)

Ah, I was wondering if I would find a marker indicating when your hiatus was. Since you mention Advent Children, I assume you took this story back up at least in 2006, so a two or three year hiatus, right? I'm trying to keep examples like yours in mind so I don't end up going long periods of not writing my stories. I'm over a month late on my current story.

Y'know, the whole coup d'tat kinda reminds me of General Cincinnatus, whom Cincinnati was named after. He was a Roman general who had retired to his farm, but when the Emporer was killed, and the city needed a leader, the Senate asked him to fulfill the position as the supreme ruler of Rome. For sixteen days, he ruled over Rome and fended off the attacks. As soon as the battles ended, he returned power back to the Senate, even though he had the power to change the country as he saw fit, and returned to his farm.

Anyways, good chapter. I was kinda surprised to see a Phalanx formation reference. Y'know the P-formation what the key to the Spartans surviving for two days against the Persians in the Battle of Thermopoli. If you saw the movie 300, that movie had more inaccuracies then accuracies. They NEVER broke formation, that was the only thing that kept them alive.

Proteus is...no way! Dude, NO WAY! How the hell did THAT psycho become a Guardian Force?

Once again, another brilliant chapter! I had to wait longer to read it as I went away for a week to Herzegovina last wednesday. So it was good to see this little present waiting in my inbox :)

Thinking of a collective title, Children of Destiny crops up in your chapters a lot, and its quite simple. I always liked that little phrase.

I am extremely happy I decided to visit the FFVI section the other day or I never would have caught this story and the other one. It's awesome work really, and a lot of fun moments have happened in them that I just love. Bob the Girly Dragon and Tidus losing his clothes. Laguna and Selan, and my gosh Tarin was fun though I'd hate to be on the Raine.

An insecure Auron? Impossible!

Actually I'm kidding. It's nice to read something where Auron doesn't have some god-like knowledge of all things unrelated to romance. (I am so sick of every Auron related story being an Aurikku...end of rant.)

Back to the point, seeing Auron dealing with insecurties was pretty excellent. It's hard to portray what goes on in his head since he's a hard read, but it works well here. I agree with Shiva: he DOES seem to be writing Squall off, but I can't exactly blame him. I wouldn't say Squall is useless, but the powerful forces would probably be needed elsewhere.

Hyne's birth was...intimidating. I'm wondering how the world is going to get out of this fix, considering how many different things are building up to a crash.

Good for Squall for telling Rinoa to go. Good for Rinoa for not liking it but sucking it up. Good for the story to see that not everything is always puppy dogs and butterflies. Bad things happen, and one thing that always drives me insane is when nothing bad happens at all and it's all happy-hero-is-perfect. Now he's blind. AWESOME!

Can't wait till the next chapter!

Eh! FF7 is already going to FF8 time! That was fast..too fast. I thought they still have to fight evil guy then go to the future, as how the legend goes. If ever, that would create a paradox I think...

Or maybe I'm overreading between the lines again and it's one of my horrible guesses...

I hope the comment above is not a spoiler... or am I wrong to assume that everyone is familiar with Hyne's story?

Hmm... you should add "FF6" in the story summary. I think it would make more people appreciate Proteus and the GFs.(speaking of FF6, Square have to revive that game)
