Em Mindelan 2003-05-20 . chapter 4This is, quite bluntly, superb.
You have created a work of art - be proud.
I have never read such a wonderfully crafted blend of character study [You have captured Draco Malfoy perfectly] and religion [the priest? brilliant].
Absolutely, unbelievably, amazing story.
I'm looking forward to reading more of your work. |
Enter the Extinct Age 2003-05-02 . chapter 3this is excellent! getting raco's feeling out through the vehicle of confession...I especially loved his feelings of dominance during rape (however disturbing that is!) & his assertion of wizars killing...it's perfectly true. I never really put my finger on it, so thanks!

The Misty Elf 2003-04-10 . chapter 2ok, um, i thought the first chapter was good, though i could not imagine draco as a religious wizard personally.
i thought he was kind of out of character, but this story deserves more than just 4 reviews, so i'm here to do my own share :)
keep it up, i liked Like Father Like Son. |

NikiH 2003-04-06 . chapter 1This was a lovely piece. I wouldn't have pictured Draco as a religious person, and while I still wouldn't write the character that way...it does somehow fit, sort of. I look forward to seeing where this goes, it's a great beginning for a story. Giving away nothing but still drawing the reader in.
My only nitpick would be that it relies somewhat on the reader knowing something about the Catholic faith. Perhaps a short bit that explains some of the customs or at least links to websites that explain the customs would be helpful for some readers. There were several spots where I merely had to shrug and go on, I couldn't picture what was happening because of a lack of base knowledge. This frustrates some readers, not all of us are capable of just shrugging and going on.
Overall and excellent job, you just need to work on not relying that everyone who reads this will be familiar with the Catholic religion and its customs. |
Ayla Pascal 2003-03-31 . chapter 1 That was a really beautiful story.
Admittedly, I am not religious at all, but I could see the beauty in the writing.
I love your last line, so poignant.
It does make perfect sense to me. Deep. Meaningful.
I'm actually not sure what else to say about the story, except that I really liked the writing style.
